This eye-catching shawl in deep white and black color is made in Chiapas, Mexico from a weaving technique called backstrap. This way of creating dates back more than 3400 years in Mexico. It was the main fiber used for creating clothing before Spanish colonization, but the tradition has been kept alive and is still being used today.
